Low Income Subsidy
The MHIP is hopeful that there will be a low income premium subsidy available for the 2011 calendar year. If MHIP is awarded a grant from the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services, the subsidy will be available to MHIP policyholders who fall under 300% of the HHS Poverty Guidelines. All current MHIP policyholders (at the time the applications are made available), will be mailed an application on the same day. Any funding received for the program will be limited, therefore, subsidies will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Be sure to check our website for updates.
Please feel free to contact the MHIP office at 1-800-821-2231 if you have any questions.
